A super time was had aboard P&O's Ventura to a full capacity audience, Laurie even got to duet with the wonderful Steve Larkins (Freddie Mercury Impersonator from New Zealand).

Karpenters and Sir Jimmy ..

I was honoured to meet Sir Jimmy Saville at a charity event, he told me he'd come especially to hear me sing. After performing three Carpenters songs he said to quote "Karen would be very proud of that performance tonight. I knew her". I was flabbergasted to say the least...
I will be inviting him to my next concert as guest of honour ... Laurie Briggs
